Job Title: Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic

Job Summary: Western Tractor is seeking a skilled Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing heavy-duty equipment, instructing apprentices, and ensuring that all work meets manufacturers' specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work
  • Verify and repair emission control systems
  • Perform other routine maintenance

Requirements:

  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience
  • Agricultural Equipment Technician Red Seal Certificate
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
