Job Title: Grocery Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Grocery Associate at Giant Tiger. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and supporting the sales and inventory processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the checkout area, stockroom, and sales floor.
  • Support the sales and inventory processes, including receiving and processing shipments, stocking shelves, and completing markdowns and SKU changes.
  • Operate a cash register, handle customer transactions, and maintain accurate records.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales and customer service goals.

Requirements:

  • Strong customer service skills and ability to work effectively with customers from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and communication.
  • Ability to handle a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 18 kg (40 lbs), and perform other physical demands of the role.
