Pharmacist I

Your Opportunity:

The Alberta Health Services is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist I to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in managing medication therapy for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess patients for potential or actual drug-related problems and intervene to resolve or prevent them.
• Develop and implement patient-centered medication treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Select, initiate, modify, prescribe, adapt, or administer medication therapy as needed.
• Document expected and real outcomes, as well as clinical interventions.
• Maintain professional development and participate in precepting and mentoring of other staff and students.
• Ensure accurate and efficient dispensing of medication, including providing functional supervision for pharmacy operations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
• Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Recent residency in hospital pharmacy.
• Active member of the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists.
• Clinical pharmacy experience.
• Additional Prescribing Authorization (APA).
