About the Position

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a skilled Mechanic to join our team as a Heavy Duty Technician. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing complex repairs and diagnostics on heavy-duty and medium-duty equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform standard vehicle maintenance and preventive maintenance tasks
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electronic problems
  • Utilize diagnostic computers and software to troubleshoot issues
  • Instruct and advise other technicians on maintenance and repair procedures
  • Coach and mentor junior technicians to develop their skills
  • Perform facility maintenance duties and utilize key functions of our Shop Management System
  • Work in accordance with all federal and provincial compliance guidelines

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 310T license required
  • Valid Driver's License (Class G2 or above) required
  • Four years or more experience in performing advanced mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy-duty and medium-duty equipment required
  • Strong mechanical skills and ability to demonstrate proficiency with advanced diagnostics and repair
  • Ability to read and understand information and ideas communicated
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly thorough and dependable
  • Available for on-call duty and work shift work/weekends
