About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Global Capital Markets team as an Equity Research Associate Intern. This is an excellent opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in the investment industry and develop their skills in financial analysis, research, and communication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Equity Research Analysts in the analysis of industries and companies, including market comparisons, company valuations, and financial modeling.
  • Conduct primary research from industry and financial sources, and provide write-ups on companies and industries.
  • Generate tables and graphs for use in research publications and presentations, and prepare marketing presentations using PowerPoint.
  • Develop and maintain spreadsheets, including financial models and industry databases.
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in post-secondary education.
  • Strong accounting, analytical, and math skills.
  • Excellent Excel skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg or FactSet.
  • Enrollment in or completion of the Canadian Securities Course.
  • Interest in pursuing (or enrollment in) the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program.
