Job Title: Metal Fabricator

We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our team at Global Lions Consulting Company Ltd. As a Metal Fabricator, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal components and structures to meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine Materials Required: Plan and procure the necessary materials for metal fabrication projects.
  • Interpret Engineering Drawings: Interpret and understand engineering drawings and instructions to plan methods and sequences of operation.
  • Lay Out Reference Points: Lay out reference points and patterns to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
  • Plan Sequences of Operation: Plan the sequence of tasks to cut metal most efficiently and effectively.
  • Assemble and Fit Plates: Assemble and fit plates and sections to form structures.
  • Weld or Bolt Sections: Weld or bolt sections together to create strong and durable structures.
  • Operate Heavy-Duty Machines: Set up and operate heavy-duty metal-working machines to fabricate and assemble metal components.
  • Install Fabricated Components: Install fabricated components in final products.
  • Rig, Hoist, and Move Materials: Rig, hoist, and move materials to storage areas or within the worksite.
Requirements:
  • Certifications: Metal Fabricator Trade Certification and Forklift Operator Certification.
  • Welding Techniques: MIG, TIG, and Plasma ARC welding techniques.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Experience with brakes and presses, cutting torches, drills, grinders, shears, and CNC machines.
  • Area of Specialization: Structural metal or steel and platework.
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's license and own transportation.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding work environment and attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, organized, reliable, team player, and values and ethics.
