We are seeking a skilled Financial Accounting Supervisor to join our team at FortisBC. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial transactions and related activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the accounting department in achieving operational efficiency and identifying areas for improvement through process review, automation, and new technologies.
- Provide leadership and guidance to employees to maintain a high quality of work and ensure they have the necessary development opportunities.
- Collaborate with various business areas to provide finance support, respond to requests promptly, and maintain open lines of communication.
Requirements
- A degree in business and commerce with a recognized accounting designation.
- A minimum of four years of relevant experience in financial accounting and reporting.
- Strong technical skills working within a large enterprise resource planning solution, preferably in the SAP environment.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage and work with various groups.
- Previous experience supervising and providing guidance to a team is an asset.
