Livestock Farm Worker

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Livestock Labourer to join our team at Van Boekel Hog Farms Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of our livestock, as well as maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our farm facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Animal Care: Disinfect pens, barns or poultry houses, handle animals, monitor animal health, perform livestock feeding, treat livestock health issues, feed and tend animals.
- Farm Maintenance: Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, carry out a pasture or pen breeding programs, maintain livestock performance records, clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens, maintain work records and logs.
- Disease Detection: Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry.
- General Farm Duties: Perform general farm duties as required.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment, with exposure to dusty, hot, noisy, odorous, and wet/damp conditions. The work term is permanent, and the work language is English. The hours of work will be 40 to 50 hours per week.
Requirements- Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required.
- Experience: Will train.
- Work Conditions: Work under pressure, physically demanding, standing for extended periods.
