We are seeking a highly skilled Mine Engineer, Senior to join our team at SSR Mining's Seabee Gold Operation. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, contributing to the success of our mine operations.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in mining engineering, with experience in planning, scheduling, ventilation, ground control, services, and projects. They will be responsible for creating, designing, and developing best practices regarding mining engineering processes, procedures, and practices to support the success of departmental targets.
The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and relationship skills, with the ability to work and communicate with individuals and groups at all levels of the organization. They will also have a high attention to detail, strong work ethic, and excellent organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement mining engineering processes and procedures to support mine operations.
- Collaborate with the mine operation team to ensure seamless processes connecting mid-range plans with short-range plans.
- Support the implementation of Deswik.OPs and provide technical documentation to support decision-making.
- Engage and interact with business partners across the organization to identify and implement improvement and operational excellence opportunities.
- Maintain a high standard of quality in all work and adhere to programs, systems, and procedures in mine design that meet industry standards.
Requirements:
- Certificate or Diploma of Technology in Mining with fifteen (15) years underground mining related experience or degree in Mine Engineering, or related field, with ten (10) years' underground mining related experience.
- Experience with Deswik, and Deswik.OPs would be considered an asset and must be well versed in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Power Query, and PowerBi.
Working Conditions:
This position has a schedule of 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off at our remote camp which you will be required to fly in fly out with pick up points in Saskatoon, Prince Albert and La Ronge.
