About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Nova Scotia Health's Pharmacy Department as a Pharmacy Manager - Operations. As a key member of the Department's Leadership Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective delivery of drug distribution services.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with other department leaders to develop and implement strategies to improve service delivery
  • Develop and manage budgets to ensure effective resource allocation
  • Provide leadership and guidance to pharmacy practice assistants, students, clerical, and support staff
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain high standards of quality and patient safety
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A recognized pharmacy technician program and licensure as a pharmacy technician in Nova Scotia
  • At least 5 years' experience in a hospital setting managing human, financial, and material resources
  • Experience with failure mode effects and analysis reviews
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare issues and collective agreements
