About the Role

CIMA Canada Inc is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Management Officer Junior to join our team. As a Project Management Officer Junior, you will play a key role in leading institutional projects and providing technical expertise to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Leadership: Work as a project director on various large-scale projects in building mechanicals, ensuring timely delivery and meeting client expectations.
  2. Technical Expertise: Act as a technical reference in building mechanicals, solving complex engineering problems and providing guidance to junior employees.
  3. Mentorship: Share building engineering knowledge with junior employees, promoting knowledge transfer and skill development within the team.
  4. Quality Assurance: Confirm accuracy of drawings and specifications for projects under your supervision, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  5. Team Collaboration: Coordinate the work of team members and various professionals, ensuring seamless collaboration and effective communication.
  6. Client Communication: Ensure communication with clients to assess project progress, address their concerns, and demonstrate ability and ease in making presentations.
  7. Issue Resolution: Collaborate closely with clients to resolve any issues related to projects, such as technical and budgetary requests.
  8. Contract Management: Carry out contract monitoring (including budgets), and draft contract amendments as needed.
  9. Human Resources Management: Ensure Human Resources Management, including hiring, performance evaluations, salary reviews, and maintaining a healthy work environment.
  10. Process Improvement: Evaluate and implement methods, procedures, and tools to increase the quality of services, optimize work methods, and increase productivity.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with 20 years of professional experience.
  2. Portfolio of diversified institutional building projects (primarily schools and hospitals).
  3. Experience in consulting engineering, in the private, public, or semi-public building sectors.
  4. In-depth knowledge of financial concepts and excellent budget monitoring skills.
  5. Proven project management abilities.
  6. Strong technical credibility and willingness to share technical expertise with clients and the team.
