Job Title: Dean of the Faculty of Science

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced academic leader to serve as the Dean of the Faculty of Science at the University of Northern British Columbia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Academic Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership for the Faculty of Science, ensuring alignment with the university's mission and goals.
  • Curriculum Development: Develop and implement curriculum for training programs, ensuring they meet the needs of students and industry partners.
  • Faculty Management: Recruit, develop, and manage faculty members, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to excel in their roles.
  • Research and Innovation: Foster a culture of research and innovation within the faculty, encouraging collaboration and knowledge transfer.
  • Community Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with industry partners, government agencies, and community organizations to promote the faculty's research and educational programs.
Requirements:
  • Education: Earned doctorate degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience: 5 years or more of experience in academic leadership, faculty management, or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
