About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Baker to join our team at Grounds For Coffee Inc. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of high-quality baked goods, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring that our products meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Development: Develop and implement new recipes and menu items to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Kitchen Management: Supervise and train baking personnel, manage inventory, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all baked goods meet our quality standards, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Staff Management: Hire, train, and supervise staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, respond to customer complaints, and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and maintain a clean and organized storage area.
  • Financial Management: Manage kitchen expenses, maintain accurate records, and report financial performance to management.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a bakery or related field.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and physical stamina to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods.
  • Language: English.
