Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join their team in Vancouver, BC.
About the Role
As a Nurse Practitioner at Vancouver Coastal Health, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Provide nursing care to assigned patients, including physical assessments, medication management, and education.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
- Participate in discharge planning and provide education to patients and their families.
- Document patient care and respond to incidents in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Demonstrated ability in nursing practice related to designated patient population.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement care plans.
- Demonstrated ability to adjust to unexpected events, problem-solve, set priorities, and deal with conflict.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing).
- Demonstrated ability to deal with others effectively, including the ability to work collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
