Lifemark Health Group is seeking a qualified Counselling Therapist to join our team at Lifemark Physiotherapy Tantallon clinic.

Job Summary:

This part-time, casual role involves providing assessment, consultation, and psychoeducational services to clients. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess client needs and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide consultation and education to clients and their families
  • Communicate effectively with staff members, clients, employers, referral sources, and other professionals
  • Participate in team conferences and contribute to case management and problem-solving efforts
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in counselling or clinical psychology, as well as 2+ years of experience in a return-to-work setting. Professional registration with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists is also required.

A minimum of 1 year of experience in a return-to-work setting is preferred, along with the ability to use creative and structured approaches to assist clients in self-management. Strong communication and report-writing skills are essential.

Benefits:

Lifemark offers a competitive salary range of $60,000-$80,000 per annum, depending on experience. This estimate is based on industry standards for similar roles in the Halifax region.
