Job Title: Residential Construction Supervisor

At Alberta Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Residential Construction Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of residential construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of construction teams, including laborers, carpenters, and other tradespeople.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate and schedule activities, including material deliveries, equipment rentals, and subcontractor work.
  • Train or arrange for training of construction staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Estimate costs and materials, and ensure that projects are completed within budget.
  • Recommend personnel actions, including hiring, promoting, and disciplining staff.
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules, and ensure that projects are completed on time.
  • Read blueprints and drawings, and ensure that construction teams are aware of project requirements.
  • Requisition materials and supplies, and ensure that they are delivered to the construction site in a timely manner.
Requirements:
  • 5-10 years of experience in residential construction, including supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with construction teams, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Ability to work under pressure, and to meet deadlines and project schedules.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a focus on construction or a related field.
Work Environment:

Our construction projects are located throughout the province, and you will be required to travel to various sites as needed. You will work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on meeting project deadlines and ensuring that construction teams are working safely and efficiently.
