About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our team at The Kraft Heinz Company. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation and logistics functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support the inbound transportation for 30,000 shipments per year at the Mt-Royal plant, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods.
  • Collaborate with transportation providers, 3PL warehouses, suppliers, and the Milton, ON warehouse to ensure accurate and timely movement of goods through the system, making adjustments as needed.
  • Manage and support international transportation for 14,000 shipments per year at Milton, ON, including trailer management and compliance with transportation regulations.
  • Support daily route optimization in a transportation management system.
  • Manage the transportation of raw materials between 3PL warehouses and the Mt-Royal plant.
  • Manage inventory and emergency planning, and maintain the C3 system.
  • Supervise the movement service: review performance, approve invoices and expenses, investigate damages.
  • Coordinate and follow up with security for movements, in and out of the site.
  • Ensure timely repair and maintenance of the trailer fleet and track orders and expenses.
  • Deliver timely import permits.
  • Coordinate shipments and customs clearance with port and airport authorities for imports.
  • Participate in the management of incoming reception schedules.
  • Collaborate with logistics management teams to determine ways to optimize service levels, maintain supply chain efficiency, and minimize costs.
  • Provide analytical support, reports, and tools to the entire supply chain team (S&OP, customer service, procurement, distribution, and finance).
  • Support logistics project launches and new operational initiatives by managing project plans and providing data analysis.
  • Collect operational requirements and develop scorecards, reports, and dashboards to support the business.
  • Develop and maintain KPIs to ensure fluidity and efficiency within the network.
  • Update databases on freight rates for the supply chain team to determine the most cost-effective modes of transportation.
  • Track imports of cheese from the United States.
  • Participate actively in bids and the procurement process for logistics services.
  • Reports on inventory management.
  • Other related tasks related to supply chain, material handling, and transportation.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in French and English to communicate with the Ontario and US teams.
  • Post-secondary education in supply chain management and logistics or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in supply chain and logistics in an operational and/or analytical capacity.
  • Knowledge of air, rail, water, and road transportation principles and methods, including costs and benefits.
  • Moderate to advanced proficiency in computer and office equipment and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience with databases/SQL is an asset.
