Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Mechanic to join our team at First Student. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our school buses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair complex vehicle issues, including brakes, engine tune-ups, and transmission problems.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations, to prevent breakdowns and extend vehicle lifespan.
  • Lead preventative maintenance programs to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance team members to ensure seamless vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to continuously improve our maintenance processes.
Requirements
  • Valid Mechanic license and a strong understanding of vehicle systems and mechanics.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
