About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as Assistant Director of Nursing Care at our village in Whitby, Ontario.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the nursing department, ensuring high-quality care and services are delivered to our residents.
  • Develop and implement effective infection prevention and control strategies to maintain a safe environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement resident-centered care plans.
  • Supervise and mentor staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide exceptional care.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Requirements

  • Certified registered nurse (CRN) with a valid license from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Current Heart Save Level CPR certification.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of success in implementing infection prevention and control measures.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
