We are seeking an experienced Senior Database Architect to join our team at Nimbus Distro. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our database systems to ensure optimal performance and scalability.

Job Description

In this role, you will work closely with our development team to develop and implement strategic blueprints for deploying databases within our organization. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining computer databases, documenting reporting needs, queries, logic, results, and recommendations to other information systems professionals.

You will enact measures to prevent unauthorized users from accessing data, liaise with staff on data requirements, collection, and availability, provide advice to other informatics professionals regarding database management tools, set up the IT infrastructure to allow applications to access databases, test data models and database management systems, design and develop databases, operate database management systems to analyze data, develop and implement data administration policy, standards, and models, research and document data requirements, data collection, and administration policy, and data access rules, and develop policies and procedures for network access and usage and for the backup and recovery of data.

You will also write scripts related to stored procedures and triggers.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and 2 years of experience in database administration. You should have knowledge of database software, MS SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, PowerBuilder, Shell script, Linux, and MS Office. Additionally, you should have excellent interpersonal skills, be accurate, efficient, organized, and able to take initiative.
