About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Decarbonization Strategist to join our team at a leading Real Estate Investment Trust. This key role will focus on driving strategic decarbonization planning, ensuring alignment with global standards and company goals.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in energy management for various types of real estate, with a proven track record of reducing energy usage and emissions. Strong skills in data analytics, sustainability practices, metering, and energy analytics are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation of identified decarbonization strategies for long-term net zero goals
  • Set and monitor carbon reduction targets and KPIs, ensuring alignment with global standards and company commitments
  • Identify risk and opportunities related to decarbonization, integrating them into enterprise risk management
  • Prepare well-structured reports and present to senior executives to guide decision-making
  • Manage the execution of decarbonization initiatives, ensuring timely, within-budget delivery with targeted outcomes for existing operations and new developments
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related fields
  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Certified Energy Auditor (CEA), Certified Measurement & Verification Professional (CMVP), CCP (Certified Commissioning Professional) accreditation an asset
  • Expertise in building energy and carbon reduction strategies, data analytics, and sustainability practices
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically PowerPoint and Excel
About the Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to a sustainable future. We offer a competitive salary range of $130,000 to $140,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
