Electrical Distribution Project Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Distribution Project Coordinator to join our team at FortisBC. As a key member of our distribution team, you will be responsible for planning, estimating, and coordinating complex distribution projects.
Key Responsibilities- Project Coordination: Coordinate projects from premium key accounts, external agencies, and FortisBC departments, ensuring all service product requirements are collected and met.
- Design and Estimation: Develop designs for distribution projects of the greatest complexity, prepare pricing and cost estimates, and conduct field reconnaissance.
- Customer Liaison: Act as the primary contact for premium rated builder/developers and internal/external customers, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues.
- Operational Support: Respond to operational and maintenance issues, including overbuilds of plant related to all customer classes.
- Completion of a post-secondary Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering Technologist Diploma.
- Certified or deemed eligible for certification at the technologist level by the Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of British Columbia (ASTTBC).
- Four (4) years directly related relevant work experience and a minimum of 2 years of experience working directly on electrical design.
- Knowledge of electrical theory related to electrical distribution.
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, including telephone call handling skills and the ability to respond to difficult or demanding situations.
