The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Primary Care Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, conducting check-ups, treating illnesses, ordering lab tests, and prescribing medication for children and adults.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including lab tests and imaging studies
- Prescribe medications and treatments, as needed
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and best practices
Requirements
- Graduate of a Baccalaureate degree in Nursing
- Successful completion of a master's program in Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program
- Member in good standing of the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Professional Liability Insurance
- 1-2 years experience in the Nurse Practitioner role, preferred
- Current First aid and CPR certification
- Permanent eligibility to work in Canada (Permanent Resident or Canadian Citizen) or a valid Work Permit
