Job Title: Logistics Operations Supervisor

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Logistics Operations Supervisor to join our team at Northwest Carrier Ltd. This is a permanent position that offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Job Summary:

The Logistics Operations Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the activities of our logistics team, ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation services. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the logistics team, including scheduling, dispatching, and tracking shipments.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of company vehicles and equipment.
  • Develop and implement effective processes and procedures to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on new policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyze data and make recommendations to senior management on process improvements.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including logs, manifests, and inventory control.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a logistics or transportation-related field.
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervision skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Familiarity with computerized systems and software, particularly MS Word.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this role is $65,000 per annum, based on a 40-hour workweek. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
