**Job Summary**

School District #48 (Sea to Sky) is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team on a part-time, on-call basis. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our schools, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces
  • Operate motorized cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and floor buffers
  • Assist with the maintenance of school facilities, including repairing and replacing fixtures and equipment
  • Participate in the development and implementation of cleaning schedules and procedures
  • Collaborate with other Custodians and school staff to ensure a smooth and efficient cleaning process

Requirements:

  • Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent
  • Relevant courses or workshops, such as the Building Service Worker course
  • Up to three months of related experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Knowledge of WHMIS and WCB safety regulations
