We are seeking a skilled Truck and Coach Technician to join our team at Brandt. This is a challenging role that requires a strong background in mechanical repair and maintenance of heavy equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and diagnose the working condition of heavy equipment, including trucks and trailers, to identify areas for repair and maintenance.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment, using a variety of tools and equipment, including hand and power tools, and computer systems.
- Document all work performed, including machine information, actions taken, and time taken, to ensure accurate and complete records.
- Assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely and to accepted standards.
- Use computer applications and information systems to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis.
- Locate and order parts from parts personnel, using parts catalogues.
- Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required.
- Certified Journeyperson in the Truck and Coach technician trade or equivalent designated trade.
- Experience in CAT, CUMMINs and PACCAR engines.
- Experience with electrical diagnosis/troubleshooting and aftertreatment systems.
- Previous mechanical experience in a shop environment.
- Registration in the 310T trade.
- Commitment to customer service and service excellence.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, the service team and branch personnel.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
