We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team in the Operating Room department at the Northern Health Authority.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and nursing practice activities within the framework of quality management and in accordance with the Northern Health Authority's mission statement.
- Provide safe and competent perioperative nursing care at a novice level.
- Participate in the Northern Health Regional Operating Room Education (RORE) program, which includes a 7-week course and a practicum paired with a preceptor.
- Collaborate with the health care team to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
- Post-graduate courses (within the last five years) appropriate to the service assignment or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
- Ability to promote safe, competent, patient care.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all members of the health care team.

- Four weeks vacation with one year of continuous service.
