About the Role:

The Facilities Technician will be responsible for performing installation and maintenance tasks in various facilities. This role will ensure that equipment and fixtures are installed securely, safely, and efficiently, and that remediation plans are executed as planned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Lead Facilities Technician in maintaining the campuses.
  • Work with the Campus Directors and Facilities Coordinator to ensure the campuses are properly maintained.
  • Perform regular and emergency maintenance and repairs of various mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Participate in the company-wide Health and Safety programs.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of new locations, including drawing verifications and ensuring space needs are met.
  • Install in-wall data cabling.
  • Align, install, and/or replace various fixtures and equipment.
  • Paint, organize, and clean campuses.

Requirements:

  • Trade school diploma, practical experience, or equivalent in electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or other facilities-related fields.
  • Active certification in Working at Heights and Scissor Lift training is considered an asset.
  • 1+ year(s) experience in hands-on facilities maintenance work.
  • 1+ year(s) experience in a business environment.
  • Experience with hands-on maintenance or installation work.
  • Knowledge of commercial/institutional facilities fundamentals, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, data cabling, etc.
  • Moderate to significant physical demand.
  • Safety-focused mindset.
  • A reliable vehicle and valid provincial driver's license.
