Job Summary

At Loblaw Companies Limited, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Asset Protection Representative to join our team. As an Asset Protection Representative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our retail locations, minimizing product loss, and promoting a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Deter, detect, and apprehend theft and fraud within our retail locations
• Collaborate with other Asset Protection Representatives to investigate provincial or national ORC cases
• Collaborate with the local police service regularly
• Detect and investigate internal investigations, compile and present evidence for the purpose of court or arbitration
• Detect and identify potential shrink opportunities within our operational core compliance
• Build and maintain store partnerships through management meetings and huddles, coach and mentor colleagues regarding Asset Protection policies and procedures
• Participate in conducting store-level audits
• Participate in community events
• Work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends, within a 40-hour work week

Requirements

• Valid provincial security guard license
• Basic understanding of the Criminal Code of Canada, Trespass to Property Act, and Powers of Arrest and CCTV and/or surveillance systems
• Professional, friendly, and approachable demeanor
• High degree of initiative and integrity required to be successful in a dynamic environment
