Overview

Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited is a leading Canadian-owned manufacturer of livestock nutrition since 1964.

We are seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented Business Development Finance Specialist to join our team for a 4-month internship.

As a finance professional with Parrish & Heimbecker, you'll have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting.

Our team is dedicated to providing top-notch animal nutrition solutions, and we're committed to improving the health and performance of livestock nationwide.

With a strong focus on sustainable practices and innovative research, we deliver high-quality products and nutritional programs that optimize animal health and production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct monthly general ledger reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy
  • Prepare journal entries and maintain precise financial records
  • Balance trucking destination spreadsheets and reconcile trucking allocations
  • Support our accounts receivable and accounts payable teams with essential financial processes
  • Organize and file important paperwork to keep everything running smoothly

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Administration, Accounting or a related field
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office programs and comfortable with virtual meeting platforms
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, while ensuring attention to detail
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability
