About the Role & Team

At theScore, we're building a centralized platform for sports data ingestion, aiming to establish a single source of truth. As a Senior Technical Product Manager on the Core Platform team, you'll collaborate with talented developers to drive innovation and shape our strategy.

About the Work
  • Work closely with business and engineering stakeholders to identify pain points and drive solutions.
  • Conduct technical market research to inform internal decisions on initiatives.
  • Lead internal discovery and ideation sessions to validate new ideas.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product stakeholders to gain insights and alignment.
  • Stay up-to-date with cutting-edge technologies and concepts.
  • Use your expertise to shape the Core Platform team's strategy and roadmap.
  • Lead the day-to-day product development process for the Core Platform team.
  • Gather and refine technical requirements into executable and testable units of work.
  • Continuously improve kanban methodologies used by the team to accelerate processes.
  • Prioritize technical backlogs based on engineering and business objectives.
  • Manage the release process jointly with the Release Management team.
About You
  • 5-8+ years of product management experience in a technical environment.
  • Background in computer science, business, IT, or related field.
  • Working knowledge of various components in a backend system.
  • Experience with platform thinking and methodologies.
  • Comfortable going deep into technology to work with developers.
  • Strong stakeholder and project management skills.
  • Strong communication skills to explain complex technical concepts.
  • Team player and self-starter.
  • Nice to have: experience with Kubernetes, Databases, Kafka, or DataDog.
  • Nice to have: experience with the data engineering lifecycle.
