Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our team on a casual basis. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will be responsible for organizing, preparing, and facilitating early learning programs and initiatives in a play-based environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain early learning programs and initiatives in accordance with the British Columbia Early Learning Framework and StrongStart B.C. Operation Guide.
  • Maintain detailed daily program records and produce reports as required.
  • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and other district staff to support and advocate for play-based early learning programs and initiatives.
  • Attend meetings as required and participate in professional development opportunities.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education.
  • Current BC Early Childhood Education certification.
  • Foodsafe certification.
  • Training and/or experience working with children in the 0-5 age range.
  • Training and/or experience working with parents/guardians.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of child development, family dynamics, and community resources.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge of computer programs.
  • Class 5 driver's license.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a variety of settings, including schools and community centers. The ability to lift, transfer, and assist students as required is essential.
