Position Overview

The Environmental Services department at Simcoe County is seeking a skilled Housekeeping Professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of our facilities, adhering to Ministry of Long Term Care regulations and departmental policies.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment for residents and staff
  • Perform daily upkeep of assigned equipment and supplies
  • Monitor inventory and receive deliveries as assigned by the Environmental Services Supervisor

Requirements

  • Grade 11 or equivalent
  • Ability to pass a reading and comprehension assessment
  • Proven knowledge in housekeeping and building maintenance practices
  • Good interpersonal and oral communication skills

Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced long-term care facility, exposed to cleaning materials, dirt, dust, and potential illnesses. A minimum of three months' experience in housekeeping and/or maintenance is required.
