Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our team at Tokyo Japan Street Market Ltd.
Key Responsibilities- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of food quantities used, ensuring efficient inventory management.
- Food Preparation: Assist in packaging take-out food, cleaning, peeling, slicing, and trimming foodstuffs using manual and electrical appliances.
- Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment, adhering to high standards of hygiene.
- Supply Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas, ensuring timely restocking.
- Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Maintenance: Sharpen kitchen knives and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
- Groundskeeping: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, contributing to a clean and safe environment.
- Food Handling: Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit, adhering to food safety guidelines.
- Work Environment: Work in an urban area, with a permanent work term and a standard 30-40 hour workweek.
- Language: Communicate effectively in English, the primary language used in the workplace.
