Job Description

As a Medical Oncologist at BC Cancer, you will use your extensive experience and qualifications to provide hemato-oncology consultation, patient care, teaching, and research with a focus on myeloid/lymphoid malignancies. You will be part of a collaborative care team committed to excellence and participate in clinical, research, administrative, and educational activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC (2015) and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019)
  • Knowledge of social, economic, political, and historical realities impacting indigenous communities and familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism and accompanying reports
  • Fellowship standing in the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada in Internal Medicine, along with a certificate of Special Competence in hematology or completed residency in hematology
  • Eligibility for licensing with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of British Columbia and credentialing by the Professional Advisory Committee of BC Cancer
