Job Title: Bookkeeping Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeping Specialist to join our team at Alberta Inc. As a Bookkeeping Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, and establishing and balancing various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
  • Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
  • Post journal entries
  • Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports
  • Prepare trial balance of books

Requirements:

  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Preferred Skills:

  • Accounting software
  • MS Excel
  • MS Word

Work Environment:

  • Ability to work independently
  • Attention to detail
