As a Locomotive Electrician at CN, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our locomotive fleet. You will be responsible for performing inspection, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems on our trains, working on electronics components, computer systems, and fuel injector systems.

• Repair and replace electrical components, including wiring, circuits, and electrical panels.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems and identify root causes.
• Test and inspect electrical systems to ensure proper function and safety.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating electrical components.
• Order and manage electrical parts and supplies.
• Collaborate with other maintenance teams to ensure seamless operation of the locomotive fleet.

You will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with varying shifts to cover 24/7 operations. You will be required to work in confined spaces, lift weights up to 50 pounds, and work in all weather conditions.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Approved Electrician Certification.
• 2 years of electrical work experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Basic computer skills.
