We are seeking a skilled and experienced Roofing Specialist to join our team at Ridgestone Roofing Ltd.

About the Job:

  • This is a permanent position requiring 40 hours of work per week.
  • The successful candidate will have secondary school graduation certificate and equivalent experience or 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in roofing.
  • The position involves working at heights, outdoors and various locations including industrial and residential areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel.
  • Install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings.
  • Repair or replace shingles and shakes on sloped roofs of buildings.
  • Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level.
  • Estimate costs and materials.

Requirements:

  • A strong background in roofing with a focus on built-up roofing systems, asphalt shingles, and metal roofs.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to instruct apprentices and supervise other workers.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
