Cloud Migration Expert for Azure Ecosystem

Vantix Systems Inc. is seeking a seasoned Cloud Migration Architect to lead the design, setup, and implementation of Azure cloud infrastructure, as well as assist in migrating applications from on-premises environments to the cloud.

The ideal candidate should possess a broad set of skills ensuring a successful migration to the cloud. This includes an in-depth understanding of the Azure environment and its interaction with various technologies (hardware and software). The candidate should also have experience providing support to both management and IT teams, monitoring migration progress, addressing technical issues, and ensuring data privacy and security.

The role requires leadership expertise to oversee project implementation teams, applying best practices to implement cloud services. Experience with multi-account, multi-cloud environments and implementing cloud solutions in such settings is highly valued. Additionally, the candidate should have experience in an Architect role within a large organization and implementing cloud services using Azure.

We are looking for a hybrid worker who can effectively collaborate with teams in Edmonton, Alberta, based at our office location.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing and setting up Azure cloud infrastructure
  • Migrating applications from on-premises environments to Azure
  • Providing technical support to management and IT teams
  • Ensuring data privacy and security throughout the migration process
  • Leading project implementation teams to ensure effective cloud service deployment
  • Fostering collaboration among team members in a hybrid work environment

Requirements:

  • Experience with cloud migrations, including design and implementation
  • Strong understanding of Azure environment and technology interactions
  • Leadership skills to manage project implementation teams
  • Ability to monitor migration progress and address technical issues
  • Experience with multi-account, multi-cloud environments
  • Proficiency in programming languages, networking, database management, security, and DevOps principles

Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience
