Accounting Clerk

Good Shepherd Centres is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for providing financial support to our organization, ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions, and maintaining a high level of financial integrity.
Key Responsibilities:- Process daily accounts payable functions, including assembling vendor invoices, verifying payable invoices, and entering vendor invoice transactions for payment processing.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Prepare and process bank deposits, pick up cash withdrawals, and distribute financial instruments as directed.
- Sort donations, copy receipts, and forward to the fundraising department for processing.
- Monitor office equipment operations and place service requests as needed.
- Distribute financial instruments, such as taxi chits, food vouchers, and petty cash, as directed.
- Ensure compliance with legislated regulations, agency guidelines, and policies, including monitoring adherence to established approval and control processes.
- Minimum College Diploma and 2 years of experience in accounting disciplines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt in a fast-paced and changing work environment, with the ability to prioritize conflicting demands and meet deadlines.
- Strong computer skills, including experience with Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.
- Detail-oriented and outstanding organizational skills.
