We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Education Assistant to support our teaching staff at Headway School Society of Alberta. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to provide individualized support to students, assist with classroom activities, and help with student integration into the school setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accompany students during school and extracurricular activities
  • Assist students individually or in small groups with assignments and reinforce learning and retention concepts under the supervision of the classroom teacher
  • Perform other duties assigned by the school principal
  • Supervise students during school and extracurricular activities
  • Monitor students during recess and lunch hour
  • Assist students with special needs using techniques such as sign language, braille, and remedial programs
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Permanent employment
  • English language proficiency
  • Ability to work 30 to 40 hours per week
