Job Title: Associate Professor

We are seeking an exceptional Associate Professor to join our team at Mount Royal University. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the field of aeronautical sciences.

Work Setting

This is a permanent, full-time position with a 35-hour workweek. You will be expected to work in a dynamic and inclusive environment, with a strong commitment to student success and academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach and develop courses in aeronautical sciences, including aviation and meteorology
  • Conduct research in the field of aeronautical sciences, with a focus on applied meteorology or biometeorology
  • Advise students on course and academic matters, as well as career decisions
  • Participate in faculty committees and contribute to departmental and institutional policies
  • Prepare and administer exams, as well as grade student work
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in a relevant field, such as aeronautical sciences, aviation, or meteorology
  • 5+ years of experience in teaching and research in a higher education setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to departmental and institutional goals
