Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Dock Worker to join our team at Lineage Logistics. As a Dock Worker, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving products, equipment, and materials on and off trucks or throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a variety of material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor belts, to move products and materials throughout the facility.
  • Load and unload materials on and off pallets, skids, or lifting devices, ensuring accurate and efficient processing.
  • Read and follow computerized work orders to determine quantities, types of products to be shipped, and the location of requested items in the warehouse.
  • Document and report damages and discrepancies to supervisors or leads, ensuring prompt resolution and minimizing losses.
  • Perform daily forklift maintenance and check sheets, ensuring equipment is in good working condition.
  • Monitor battery charge and maintain and clean batteries, as needed, to ensure optimal performance.
  • Alert supervisors or leads of any issues with products or materials, awaiting directions to rectify the problem.
  • Assist in cleaning and organizing the warehouse, maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Requirements
  • Ability to identify products through reading, interpreting, and scanning or manually inputting pallet identification numbers.
  • Basic math skills and ability to understand instructions in the country's official language or as defined by Lineage Logistics.
  • Ability to work in temperatures between -22 Celsius to +4 Celsius cold storage sites while wearing company-provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs./22 kgs., with weight varying depending on facility.
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends, as needed.
  • Comfortable with various noise levels, which can be loud at times.
