About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Solar Technician to join our team at Spark Power Corp. As a Solar Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and servicing utility-scale solar and battery storage facilities within the Southern Alberta region.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and mechanical systems, with experience in troubleshooting and repairing complex equipment. You will also have excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair utility-scale solar and battery storage facilities
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical issues
  • Perform routine safety inspections and documentation
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve project goals
  • Develop and implement LOTO plans and procedures
  • Interpret schematics and blueprints
  • Quality assurance checklists and inspections
  • Implement OEM specific maintenance requirements

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education an asset
  • State certified Journeyman license an asset
  • National Electrical Code (NEC) knowledge an asset
  • Valid Driver's License with clean driving record
  • Able to lift 75lbs
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn
  • Digital literacy (proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Report writing)
  • Electrical and mechanical aptitude and experience
