Assistant Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to assume the role of Assistant Manager at Africa World Market. As an integral member of our management team, you will play a pivotal part in driving business growth, ensuring exceptional customer service, and leading a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure the success of team members.
  • Customer Service: Ensure that customers receive exceptional service, meeting their needs and exceeding expectations.
  • Operational Efficiency: Implement strategies to optimize store operations, improve productivity, and reduce costs.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, manage stockroom organization, and maintain accurate records.
  • Scheduling: Create and manage employee schedules to ensure adequate staffing and minimize overtime.
  • Employee Development: Identify areas for improvement, provide constructive feedback, and support training initiatives.
  • Maintenance and Cleaning: Ensure the store is well-maintained, clean, and visually appealing.

Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • Work Experience: At least 2 years of retail store management experience, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, with a focus on employee development and retention.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees, customers, and vendors.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions and take calculated risks.

Estimated Salary: $50,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
