Job Summary
Growing your career in the Winnipeg Health Region, we are seeking a dedicated Health Care Aide to join our team. As a Health Care Aide, you will be working under the direction of the Director of Care or designate, providing high-quality care to our residents at Golden Links Lodge Personal Care Home.

Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Health Care Aide to perform duties as assigned within our nursing department. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Unit Nurses or designates, ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Transferring, positioning, or ambulating residents according to safe handling policies
- Maintaining and promoting exercise, rest, and nutrition among residents
- Participating in infection control and preventative maintenance programs
- Transporting residents to meals, recreation activities, and other events
- Documenting care delivery on resident records as directed

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Recognized Health Care Aide Certificate or completed two years of accepted registered nursing education program
- One year previous experience as a Health Care Aide preferred
- Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend fluent English required
- Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work independently
- Sincere interest in working with the elderly and being part of an interdisciplinary team

Working Conditions
This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. You will also be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six months prior to the start of employment.

Compensation
The estimated salary for this position is approximately $23.00-$25.00 per hour, depending on experience. This figure is based on industry standards and cost of living in the Winnipeg area.
