Job Summary

The Boiler Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial boilers and related equipment. This position requires a strong understanding of boiler systems, electrical and mechanical principles, and the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair industrial boilers and related equipment, including wiring, firing, and testing.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and inspecting equipment, to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex boiler system issues, using knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of projects and tasks.
  • Develop and implement effective solutions to improve boiler system efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, attending training sessions and workshops as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety protocols and regulations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in industrial boiler maintenance and repair.
  • Strong understanding of boiler systems, electrical and mechanical principles.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Class A Gas ticket and backflow testing certificate preferred.

Johnson Controls offers a competitive hourly rate, determined by the UA Local 170 CBA/rate sheet, and provides benefits through the union-aligned collective bargaining agreement. Overscale may be offered to qualified candidates.
