The Position

We're seeking an experienced Software Developer to join our Professional Services team. As a key member of our team, you'll work with cutting-edge technologies to deliver customized web-GIS applications for clients.

You'll have the opportunity to become an expert in delivering solutions built with Esri mapping and VertiGIS Studio tools. These solutions will help our customers overcome real-world problems and improve their decision-making processes.

Your Responsibilities

  • Designing and developing customized web-GIS applications for clients
  • Extending the ArcGIS Platform using the VertiGIS Studio products framework
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to our clients worldwide
  • Some server/network administration and troubleshooting
  • Collaborating with a development team through the lifecycle of a project
  • Creating clear and functional tests

The Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone who loves working with customers to create solutions for their problems. You should thrive in an environment where you may be tasked with multiple projects at a time and be continually learning about new technologies.

You should enjoy occasional business travel to client sites and create great relationships across different organizations.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of C#, .NET, JavaScript, HTML5, and IIS
  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Understanding of web hosting and content delivery (HTTP)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 or more years of development experience
  • Exposure and familiarity with GIS concepts
  • Experience with the ArcGIS Platform (ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Javascript API, Web AppBuilder, etc.)
  • Familiarity with cloud hosting providers (AWS, Azure), networking, and security best practices

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience. Our benefits package includes fair and equitable salaries, a competitive group benefits program, a health and lifestyle spending account, RRSP matching, and 4 weeks of vacation to start, increasing to 5 weeks after 5 years with the company.
