Moose Painting Ltd. is seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. As a Painter, you will be responsible for preparing, cleaning, and sanding surfaces to be painted, repairing cracks and holes, mixing paint to the desired colour and texture, and applying paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces.
Additionally, you will estimate costs and materials, and assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees, including housing, transportation, storage, childcare, and winter clothing. You will also support social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees, and recruit newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster.
As a Painter, you will work closely with our team to provide mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for youth, Indigenous workers, and members of visible minorities. You will also apply hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities, and provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment.
This is a permanent position, working 35 hours per week, with English as the primary language of communication.
