About the Role:

As a Training Program Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the full-time aquatics staff in ensuring the protection and safety of the public using the facilities. You will also be required to cooperate with the public, staff, and program participants, as well as provide student/participant support, demonstrate skills, and work one on one with participants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the setup and maintenance of pool equipment and facilities
  • Provide support to instructors during swimming lessons
  • Assist with the supervision of participants during aquatic programs
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for participants and staff
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

  • Police Records Vulnerable Sector check
  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR level C & AED certification
  • Lifesaving Society (LSS) Assistant Swim Instructor, LSS Bronze Medallion or LSS Bronze Cross are assets
